I had my intrepid towed yesterday to a repair shop-the guy is STILL trying to find the problem. He is only certain that it has "severe electrical problems" I guess the computer that he hooked up, is not even reading as it should, so he is guessing maybe the my cars computer is having a problem. Any ideas? Yesterday, I was driving it fine, I stopped, shut it off, and came back 15 minutes later, it started to shake and sputter. The check engine light came on and I was able to put it into drive, but I couldn't go anywhere. I have had a strange oil leak, so I put more oil in it because it was low again. This car has ran great in the last 4 years that I have had it, but I am afraid this repair will be costing me a lot of money-I am very glad its been paid off! anyway-does anyone have any suggestions? Oh, the guy also said that because of this computer problem, my cars computer has not been reading my cars sensors....what exactly does all of this mean?? HELP

If your check engine light came on, then your computer was reading codes and reporting it.
By what you have told me so far it sounds like maybe a mixture of an igniton problem and maybe a PCM problem.
The intrepid is notoris for having the wiring harnes go bad. Which inturn can short out the ignition and the PCM (computer)
You can check the codes on the computer by using the key method. I typed out how to do that in the "I hate this 94" thread on this forum. http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=763720
