ipod port?

I need an auxiliary connection on my '05 Grand Prix to connect an ipod.
The car has the "Monsoon" system, with a 6-disc changer and 9 speakers. The bottom of the changer has four module receptors, labeled J1, J2, J3, and J4. The first two are used but J3 and J4 are empty. There is probably no way that one of these could be used for an aux connection, right?
What is the best way to provide this connection? There is a small hole in the rear of the console storage compartment, so I'd love to feed the line through there. Any suggestions are appreciated...THANKS!

typically, interfacing OEM stereos with aftermarket gear is tricky at best.

I am finding this out, that's for sure!
Circuit City and Best Buy installers both want to "hardwire" between the antenna and the radio, and toggle between the two. They called it an FM modulator method, but said it is not at all like the wireless system that works like crap.
One installer who sounded pretty knowledgeable said he used to try the direct connect method all the time, and only about half of them worked as stated.
I e-mailed tech support at stompaudio.com and discountcarstereo.com and they both have components they claim will work, but I do not see myself being able to install them. Circuit City says they will install for me but of course cannot guarantee success!
Why so much confusion and hassle over what seems to me to be a pretty simple modification????

From what it sounds like, they are going to use an FM modulator of some sort so you can hear the music on a FM station on your stock radio. I inputed your car on www.crutchfield.com and this is what came up:

I would suggest going to your local audio shops first (More knowledgable people that I would think be able to provide a guarantee) if you insist on someone doing it for you.
