2003 montana PK3 programming for CANADIANS

Well I needed a third key for my 03 montanna so I found some on ebay, I got 2 of them shipped to a buddies place in buffalo as they place I found them won't ship to cannada. Price was right 2 keys with shipping for $25 and with our buck worth more than the greenback it was worth the trip over.
Anyway they included programming instructions. I looked them over and they seemed right but also seemed wrong. Well I took a key to the local locksmith and got it cut, she aksed me if they told me not to try to start the van with the new key without programming it and I said no. She say if you do try it will go into lockdown, and it could take from 5 to 20 minutes to come out of it, she then checked the key book and it said what the paper I got with they keys said. So off I go home to do this so that if it does go into lockdown I an home and not there, well lets say it took mine almost an hour to recover. While I was waiting I decided to check online and found some info in the forums here that agreed with what I had here and what I was told by the locksmith. Also someone mentioned the owners manual and that canadians had to follow different programming.
Checked it out and sure enough it was different and we need 2 keys to be able to add a third and fourth keys.
Needless to say after the van was working again, almost an hour later, I tried with the following info and had the new key working in like 10 seconds.
A mod may want to make this a sticky or edit it them make it a sticky.
CANADIAN OWNERS:
If you loose or damage your keys,
only a GM dealer can service PASS-KEY III to
have new keys made. To program additional keys you
will need two(2) current driver's keys (black colour).
You mus add a step to the following procedure. After
Step 3 repeat Steps 1 through 3 with the second current
driver's key. Then continue with Step 4.
To program the new key:
1. Verify the new key has PK3 stamped on it.
2. Insert the ignition key in the ignition and start the
engine. If the engine will not start see your dealer
for service.
3. After the engine has started, turn the key to OFF
and remove the key.
4. Insert the key to be programmed and turn it to RUN
within 10 seconds of removing the previous key.
5. The security message will turn off once the key has
been programmed. It may not be apparent that the
security message went on due to how quickly
the key is programmed.
6. Repeat Steps 1 through 4 if additional keys are to
be programmed.
