rear door will not open

I have a 2002 Lincoln LS. The driver side rear pasinger door will not open. The door lock appears to be unlocked but neather the inside or out side handel will open it. I can not get the door panel off to get at the locks. Any help will be most appreceated. Thanks. Woody:cool:
