Transmission Rebuild kit

Anyone know of any place that I can get one on the web? I have a guy that will brebuild my replacemt transmission for $200 if I buy the parts. Is there a kit that you can buy or will I have to buy each part?

the parts are probably gonna be expensive... it's gonna cost me $1500 to have my EX tranny rebuilt (including parts)

Go to the dealership. IT should cost around 300-500?

personally I wouldn't recommend napa for anything... I view them like most people view APC, nothing I've ever bought there has worked right. this includes CV joints, exaust systems, brake lines, and other essential parts that I've bought there. It's all expensive garbage.

For about $275 you should be able to pick up a low mileage used one from a junkyard. I wouldn't pay for a rebuild, they don't see to last as long as stock ones.

wth? No thats not true. I'd rather rebuild it then get a used one. You don't know how long the used one is gonna last. Sure its cheaper but you dont know how its been used and how old it is. Rebuild it! Napa isn't that bad either. I got all of my products from them during my process of swappin the b16 since March. Nothing went wrong with there products so far.

personally I'd rather have new gears to rip threw than ones that have already been chipped away and could be in worse shape than the ones I already have (my rebuild includes new gears and everything which may be why it's so expensive)

As for Napa... I'll never buy another part there again. I broke the stock brake line in my minivan so I went there to pick one up, my CV boots were also ripped on the same side so I decided to replace it too (preventive maintence) I replaced the brake line and after my grandfather bled the brakes (at the time I didn't know how and I had to use his truck to go get something) I took it out down the road when all of the sudden my brakes stopped working... I eventually got it back and what did I see?! my brand new brake line busted... I figured I got a bad one so I took it back and got a 2nd one SAME THING! then no more than a week later that CV I bought completely shatters on the inside (this was before I started racing my van) so I stick my old one back in and try to take it back... long story short I now had two brand new broken brake lines one brand new broken CV and new replacement parts from AutoZone that lasted up until I sold the van.

How were you bending the brake line ? Did you have a bender or did you just kinda make your own. I have had only good luck with NAPA, their parts are 10x the qaulity of that of Autozone to me.

I agree so much! Anyways the rebuild kit comes with everything u need. I know it includes gears also.

you ever seen the rubber part of a brake line? that's what I was replacing. Also my family has purchased several exaust systems for their car from Napa (b/c my grandfather gets a discount since he used to do that) and NONE have ever fit right, we've had to modify every single one... nothing but pure junk, that's why I go to AutoZone b/c I've never had a problem there EVEN with the APC stuff.

Yes. Yes you can buy a kit. My dad rebuilds them for a living. 1500 is high as shit dude, that's mostly labor. A kit will be about 300-400. You shouldn't need new gears though. they last a long time.
