air conditioner belt removed

Hi,If I remove the a.c. belt will I get better gas mileage because the pulley will not be turning.Thanks,Roy

You will just have a hard time finding the right sized belt to put on the remaining pulleys if you delete the compressor.
I can give you a belt number for eliminated ac that will work great, but you will have to write it down somewhere safe. If you break the belt in a couple years and lose it, you will have to go through the trial and error of finding the right sized belt all over again.:runaround:

I'm assuming by his SN that the car has rally rims so it should be from 65-87
Since it doesn't have a serpentine belt, if it isn't a classic, it's probably pretty close.
