Had sloppy steering so I replaced the power steering box. Steering was still real stiff. So I replaced the power steering pump. Got a refurbished one from an auto store. When that one was hooked up it didn't have any assist steering at all. so i took that one back and got another one thinking I got a bad pump. Replaced again and I still don't have any assist. Took the pressure line off the steering gear box started the motor no fluid came out at all. Any suggestions?

The system needs to be bled. Raise the front wheels off of the ground, start the engine and turn the steering wheel from lock to lock, slowly, several times. If the fluid in the reservoir foams excessively, use a vacuum bleeder.

Hey thanks. I did bleed out the line but apparently just turning the wheel to bleed it out didn't work. I used the vacuum pump and it works great. Thanks for the help.
