Has anyone built this kit or got it in there cupboard, as i was wondering about the quality of the kit. I cant obtain the Revell kit but can the amt, but i figure it's a bit of a risk with my hard saved modelling dollar, any thoughts or opinions appreciated.:)

The hardtop is separate, the model first was issued as a convertible-that's the one I built-a Challenger R/T. The proportions look really good to me, better than the Monogram/Revell Challenger T/A which is 1/24 scale. The Challenger is one of AMT's better kits, though it will never be mistaken for a Tamiya. If you want to build a hardtop, it's molded in vinyl, and you'll have to glue it in place-not a great idea. I think Jimmy Flintstone makes a resin body with the hardtop in place.

I think Jimmy Flintstone makes a resin body with the hardtop in place And it it awesome!!! I bought the resin body for 7 bucks and it was worth every penny!! Zoom-Zoom's summary of the kit is correct; I built one before but sold it. It was a decent kit to build.:)
