ok i got a 98 ex and i want to put a 97 dx engine i know its stupid but i gota do it will that fit and will the same engine mounts and brackets fit thanks

Yup, you can use pretty much everything from the stock engine on it. But, what's wrong with the stock engine? If it's blown, you might want to get the head checked out to see if there's any damage. That would open up some other possibilities for you, and make things a little easier (a little more time consuming but easier).
