'04 Ranger Speedo Calibration

Any way to recalibrate the speedo on this truck. I've put a set of smaller tires on for the winter and the speedo is wayyy off.
I called the local dealers and was told no, but me being the doubter that I am, figured there must be a way.
I could work out the circumference of the origonal tires and do the same with the tires on now but I'd rather not have to...Mike
