Hey guys....
Just looking for some last minute info on replacing the water pump. I know i gotta go through the PS pully to get at the bolts to move it out of the way, anything else thats a snag on this job? What about torque specs? I have no clue what they are so I dont warp the thing. How much antifreeze will I loose when the pump comes out?
thanks in advance

assuming your refering to a SII 3800, its a pretty simply fix yes the power steering pump will need to be removed but just remove one of the bolts and loosen the other so it pivots this will make it easier to line up the holes for reassembly. also the water pump is allum. so dont torque to hard or youll crack it. its really not more complicated than that.

thanks...i got the job done. It was easy...however i had to take the power steering pump right off as i could not get the bolt out far enough to remove the water pump. Also the drain plug on the rad was seized up and i ended up breaking half the plastic tab off of it. Its still good its just harder to re-open again. I also goofed and got a jug of 50/50 premix antifreeze so I needed to re-use some of the old stuff because i thught i'd have twice as much (this bugs me because the old stuff had some stop leak in it....I will drain and replace sometime in the next few months)

glad it worked out ok for you, yeah i put a new radiator on my 98 intrigue and the old one had a drain plug that just pulled out and the new one screwed out i almost broke it trying to pry it out like the old one.
