I have been using those sockets for several years every day. I never have had a problem with them. The big ones are used frequently as impacts with no spilts yet. and unlike THD, Lowes has individual pieces to sell.

If you buy the air tools, get the extended warranty and my father did get one for a 3/8 airdrill he bought.Took it back, the trigger stuck open and got a new one with no problems.Kobalt was first made by Snap On and Danaher tools now makes them.

i think kobalt tools are pretty good for the price. they are cheaper than snap-on and mac tools and stuff but they still work well. i have some tools from all 3 of those brands and i like my kobalt ones almost as much as the others

I use to work at The Home Depot and i currently work at Lowe's.
I would say that it depends on what you are going to use them for. I would classify Kobalt, Husky, Craftsman, etc. as home owners tools, not professional mechanics tools. The reason is that they are not as high quality as Snap On, Matco, Mac, SK Tools, etc.
They do have good warranties on some of there stuff. If you buy a set of Husky Hand tools and one breaks out of the set you can not return it individually, you must return the entire set, or you can send the broken one back to the manufacture. Kobalt and Craftsman is not this way, you can return it individually. Be careful about buying there air tools. Once that warranty expires, good luck getting it fixed. Easier to buy a new one. Husky pro series have lifetime warranties, i suggest getting it.
I recommend them for working around the house and New Mechanics who don't have much money. They will break, and when they do its not too fun dealing with those stores, trying to return it.
There is a reason that they are sold at a home improvment store.
