Our car has been quiting on us over this past summer. We have changed the battery, alternator, modulator beneath the coils, checked the coils out, clean the battery cables, cleaned connections, took it to three machanics and no one can fix our problem. Had the after market starter and alarm system removed, still had problems. We then noticed that the car would stall after we would use the rear-defogger button, windows, or locks. When then have to wait up 15 to 30 minutes before the car would start up again. Anytime we would use these electrical items the car stalls again. We are afraid to drive the car because it is stalling. We have been reading some of these threads and will be trying more things to see if we can fix our problem. If you have any other suggestions, we would be greatful. I will let you know if we finally figure this out.

Try cleaning the driver's side ground bus. Here'a link to a how-to article.
It's the connector with all the black wires.

Thank you for pointing us to the bus bar. It was very corroided and we cleaned it and I think it did the trick. We haven't driven it too far from the house for fear that it will die on us again, but after pushing all the electrical buttons, windows, music, rear defogger, the car has not died on us... so we will venture to town soon and test the long gevity of this fix. My next question is we are noticing that the bus bar gets very hot to touch, is this a new worry for us? Is this normal for a bus bar to be hot to the touch? I really appreciate your expertise reply to my questions. Thanks again.
