Hello All....

This car has 44,000 miles and is Carfax certified.

The car will be a commuter car; I drive long distance to/from my office.

How's the reliability factor with everyday driving?
Are there any known areas that I should be aware of in regards to maintenance upkeep?

Also it's stated in the ad that the car is a 6cyl.
Is it safe to assume that this would likely be a VR6 engine?

Honestly, I haven't owned a VW since I parted with my '73 Super Beetle back in the day. But I need a good reliable car that can handle the commute.

My '89 Camry V6 still performs well in daily driving to/from work, but it's starting to show its age and will eventually need some TLC. The car I will get will allow me to take this one off the road for much needed work.

Thanks!!!

Passat is very fun car to drive, and hadlles very nicely on highway (I own 99 1.8T). Problem areas are electronic and suspension, you'll need VAG-COM to read fault codes when problem arises--this will keep you informed on any electrical problems. Suspension is anothor story. I like my Passat even though the parts are expensive, I don't hink it is very relialbe car and rather expensive to maintain.
