2000 Olds Intrigue 3.5L - 150,700 miles
The last two weeks my "service Engine Soon" light (Check Engine Light) has come on 4 times. After 2-3 starts and driving around, it goes off. the same code comes on P0101. It seems to happen after the car warms up and I am driving at highway speeds. this past weekend I changed the air filter, cleaned the MAF and cleaned the throttle body. I've had this happen in the past and doing the above cleaning has made the code go away (I take it to Advance Auto parts and they clear it for me) or at times I would use a bottle of Techron. My car is at the mechanic today to catch up on some maintenance items: chanigng the spark plugs, fuel filter, wheel hub assembly and front rotors.
Could the spark plugs or bad fuel filter cause this code?

If it keeps coming back, even after you cleaned it, its probably just bad, they are known to fail.
Its a pretty expensive part new, they are available used as well on Ebay and the like.
Its doubtful anything else caused the code. The only thing you might check would be the wiring to the MAF sensor, make sure its grounded properly and such.
But my advice is too just get another one. Because if cleaning it didnt help then its probably shot.
