1994 villager rough idle

I recently bought a villager due to high gas prices, The villager starts rough when cold then smooths out, the real problem is when driving and coming to a stop, wants to stall. Changed plugs and wires, but the # 2 cylinder doesnt appear to be firing correctly, but once acclerating, runs GREAT. Any ideas out there would be great, could this be a problem with the intake sensor or a bigger problem?
