new or used struts

I have a 00 buick regal gs that needs front struts they cost 50 each at the local parts store. but i was reading around and i read that alot o fthose after market struts are garbage. i have a friend that has 2 front struts original off of a 05 impala that had only 50,000 same part number should i get the used ones for a little bit of nothin or buy new ones?

How many miles do you currently have? At 50K miles the struts are starting to get worn out so the used ones don't sound like a good move because you won't get that much mileage on them before having to replace them again. The aftermarket KYB brand work fine.

Definitely pass on the Monroes or Gabriels. :thumbsdow
