just bought a 94 prelude about a month ago. not sure if it's h22 or h23, but im leaning more towards h23 sohc because its non-vtech. the car has 195k miles on it and runs perfect. i bought it from the original owner who was only selling the car because knee surgery and cant drive it any more. lucky for me:grinyes: any suggestions on what i should do first? i was thinking more on the line of an cold air intake probably aem v2, but winters coming up...im open to any and all ideas! thanks!

I have a 93 SI prelude. I started on the outside and worked my way into the motor then evenually on the interior. Since winter is coming I would just buy stuff little by little till spring, and figure out what u want to start on first. A cold air intake is a good start, also an underdrive crank pulley is an inexpensive engine upgrade also

Bolt-on engine mods aren't going help much, maybe add a few horses. If you want to upgrade something that will give you a noticeable performance improvement do the suspension. Springs and shocks first will help a lot, then if you want to tweak it further you can get tower braces, sway bars, camber kits etc...

If you have a h23 it's DOHC Non-vtec, the only SOHC is the F22, check in the front of the engine for H22 or H23 if it's a H23 you can't do that much to make it go faster than stock, with the only engine that you can play with more is the H22 there are a lot of toys for that engine..while for H23 and F22 there only a few things. I had a 92 lude with a F22...which is really slow...but the look of the car worth more than the engine...even though the car was slow. If you want to make it go faster get a H22 engine..that's wzup!...if you want to keep it simple (as I did) just go for the look...drop it (tokico HP Kit)...17" rims...nice sound.....tints...HID lights...that's it. Good Luck..and please don't crash it!..

*cringes* seems to me like you need some driving lessons more than a faster motor.
