A different noise

Hey kids,

unlike the winding/grinding noise others complain about, I have a similar sound, but not too much like explained above..

I have noticed it when the exterior temps drop down into the 50's. When I accelerate, the first time its heard is when the gears switch, around 15-20 mph, then is quites out. the next time it is heard is switching gears around 30 mph, and recently up around MPH. Its not constant and heard more when I really get on the gas. The best way to explain the sound is placing a baseball card lightly in the spokes of a bicycle tire at high speeds, like we did when we were kids.

The 05 TB was serviced last year for a similar transmission issue (rough shifting patterns) and they flashed the PCM and it cleared it up. No rough shifts, just the noise. Also, periodically I notice the SES light flashing and go out. Perhaps it senses something but its not a large issue yet for the PC to detect.

Any help or ideas?

For starters get it scanned, this noise can be impossible to diagnose in this environment, a loose or rattling heat shield comes to mind, but a tech really needs to road test this truck.
