The Austin Martin Vanquish is the sweetest looking car on the face of the planet. Everytime I see it I feel like selling my condo and buying one.

the aston's are really awesome cars
but i gotta go with the beloved lotus
i mean how cool is a car that turns into a submarine and goes under water....all those astons had were machine guns :finger: :)
and bmw...they were the worst cars bond could have driven..Z3 was meesly and underpowered and the Z8 was ok but didnt get driven much

I'm with Lotus here, a car that can just drive into a lake is just the best ever.:D

I'd like the Aston Martin DB-S [no,not a typo] as used in On Her Majesty's Secret Service.
Unfortunately right now I can't afford it.Best Bond car I could afford would be the 1981 Citroen 2VC used in For Your Eyes Only.

I don't think I ever liked any of the BMW's - the Z3 1.8 litre ?! The 740i that's a sedan not a sportscar and the Z8 were built on cobra chassis with custom hulls... mmmm nope... esp as it was a German car.
The Lotus Esprit - the submarine car. Okay I have a soft spot for it but it wasn't the car.
The Bentley... nope. Not a sportscar and it's owned by the People's Car folk - Volkswagen.
The DB-S - should had a bullet proof windscreen - otherwise Tracey Bond would still be alive instead of pushing up daisies.
The AM Vantage - sorry Tim Dalton never cut it as Bond.
I'd go for one of the earlier AM's - Connery is BOND.

AM represents IMO the exclusivity of the James Bond image better than BMW or Lotus. I don't know the exact model, or even which movie it was featured in, but that 1968 AM that Bond used way back when was an amazing machine, both in substance and in looks. I don't think another Bond car has fit like a glove as well as that, not even the infamous Lotus submarine.
Sidenote: I know I am in the minority on this one, but I like Roger Moore as the best Bond. Sure, not as slick on Seany, but the humor he brought to the screen really made Bond a character that I enjoyed.

So you won't be coming to see the new Bond film with us then? :(
As for the thread, Aston Martin for sure. Lurrrrrrrrve that Vanquish. Also like the older A-Ms, but the Vanquish is just soooo beautiful.

What are you talking about you cannot kill Bond that is like killing superman. No matter how smart the villans are they will always do some incredibly stupid move.

That 745i (I think it was a 45  i'm not too fond of BMWs so I'm not sure). IT was cool because of all those gizmos it had! To my knowledge no other Bond car could double as an RC car? Either taht or the Lotus that turned into a Submarine.

I don't really like Bond movies, but the Aston Martin Vanquish is one bad ass car! I would give my left nut for one, maybe both. But then I wouldn't have the balls to drive the thing. But who would drive a Aston Martin. I would park it somewhere and drool on it every morning. Sit out in the watch tower with my spaz 12 shotgun looking for any bird that wanted to take a shit on it. It was a really close call between the Lotus and the Aston Martin for me, but I voted for Aston Martin, the classic Bond car!

That was from Her Majesties Secret Service, and there was probably a reason you didn't see it. It starred George Lazenby as Bond. He foils Vectors plans so the leader ends up killing Teresa, the woman he maries at the end of the movie.
