1994 3-cyl automatic Metro - 130,000 miles (?)
The A/C belt has begun to shred a bit on the edges. I NEVER use the A/C (don't need it where I live). Is there any reason I can't just cut the belt off? :p

Dear Newbee, The A/C belt .. I've been driving my beautiful Metro 3 banger without the A/C belt sice I've owned it. I have to believe we will get better fuel economy with out the extra drag on the engine. All the engine needs is run from the alternator/water pump belt. Ahhh simplicity!!!!
Thank you for recognizing the eligant beauty of the Metro! Truley a car of the times now! (and out of production??) To steal a phrase from the British..
"God save the Metro!" I love mine soo much! Looking for a four door now!
