I have a 2002 Honda Accord 4cyl (56,000 miles). When should the spark plugs, distributer cap be changed? Any reccomendations on mileage or even a brand? Many thanks.

'02 should be good for 100,000 miles. Use NGK or ND (Nippondenso) plugs in Hondas...I'm sure the OE are platinum...
Stick with Honda cap and wiresets as long as price isn't the object...aftermarket igntion products for Hondas tend to be crappy...

Just checked and the OE plugs are not platinum...but I'd reccomend plats for replacement.
NGK ZFR5F-11 or Denso KJ16CR-L11 are the OE replacements, there are platinum versions of both. The NGK platinum equivalent is PZFR5F-11...I don't have a Denso platinum number for you...
Being non-plat, I'd change them at about 60,000-75,000....
What's the owners manual say in maintenance section?
