I own a '94 C1500 and think that they are overall a good truck. That year seems to have fewer issues than other years from what I've seen and experienced, and the body on mine is still looking great, ( it's hard to keep vehicle bodies in good shape in my area due to the salt usage on our roads in the winter.) These trucks also seem to retain their value a long time too.

yes.
especially the part about trading in that cavalier.
pretty well any truck you get is better than that.

Thats alot of miles but if it has been well maintained then you could possibly get another 50 to 60k out of it (maybe more). But for $2900 I think its still worth it especially if the body is straight on it. It would be worth investing in a new motor if needed. Plus, as '97ventureowner said, these trucks hold their value real well.

I would buy it.
That's about the miles on my '86, and it still runs absolutely perfect. It's not at all uncommon for these engines to get 300K if they're maintained right.
