WIP: Dad's '57 Chevy

When I was a kid, one of my first ever builds was a Revell '57 Chevy for my dad. It was awful, of course; unpainted, red styrene, badly painted silver on the trim instead of BMF, interior hand painted with white that the red bled through, that sort of thing... So when I was visiting I finally got fed up with looking at it and stole it from him, swearing I would build him a real one finally. So here it is, heh. :icon16:

He prefers black, so black it is--still needs wax and polish of course, but I shot it with the Tamiya Black for now. Not much to show at this point, sticking with a smallblock just like he would in real life... This will be a very traditional build, probably Torq-Thrust wheels or something similar.

Got it shined up a bit, and modifed the Revell chassis to fit the AMT body (surprisingly not the same, had to move the rear end forward), and gave it a bit of a rake. Motor is the stock smallblock, haven't done much in the engine bay yet.
