DRL not working

Well the DRL aren't working on my friends 2005 Equinox. Whenever you start the truck and put it in gear, there is a little green light on the dash that flashes a couple of times then shuts off. So I got out and looked and the lights werent on. So what could be the problem? Both headlights are good and none are burned out. It has been like this for over a year. Please help.

Please help.[/quote you have to check the drl resistor.they crack its located in the l/f fender well.there easy to change.there is a bulletin for this problem.

okay so the resistor is inside the front left fender. how big is it and what color would it be? and how much would it cost to replace? thanks a bunch.

its adout 4 inches long.its bolted to l/f rail.its white.it has a 10mm bolt throught the middle.if you take the l/f wheel off and inner liner you will see it.it has 2 wires comming off of it and a connector.remove it and check for cracks.i do not know how much the part is,but here is the part number.#22618754.if you have any trouble post back.

DRL not working on my 2006 Equinox. I would like to check the resistor. No screws on the inner fender panels, just looks like plastic retainers. Anyone know how to remove these panels to check the resistor?
