lamborgini gallardo policzia wip

not sure if this in in the right forum or not but

here is my next build i have only just started i have removed the injector seams from the body and prepared it for painting i have decided to use the le mans bleu it is as close a colour i can find i am thinking of flocking the interior it will be my first atempt at it only the original has grey flooring i only have black might not use i will make my mind up when body has been completed

i am painting body as i speak so will post pictures when i can

body has now been painted and a light coat of tamiya clear has been layed down a little polish up and the it will be ready for the decals and then claered over again then i will polish body up

Looks like a good start. Is the whole kit molded in that ugly purple color?

no only the bodywork and interior the rest is moulded in black and there are 2 sprues of clear

Did you paint the car with Zero Paints or Tamiya?

i have now put on decals and made up the underpan body is all ready for a final clear over the whole thing and a few days and it will be polished up

I see small mistake, POLIZIA on the side is probably wrong left-right.

I think you missed closing the 2 holes for the front-licenseplate before painting. The "Polizia"-plate sits lower than regular licence-plates

I see small mistake, POLIZIA on the side is probably wrong left-right.

Ah, now I see what you mean.

Looking at the "P" of "Polizia", this letter should be vertical on its left side.

I think you are right.

OK I get it now.

I found some ref pics and the driver side "P" is either vertical or slanting to the rear. It does seem that this is the decal from the other side of the car.

Oh well, never mind - it's still a great color match and paint job :)
