Check Engine Oil Level Light

:shakehead I did search for any info first, before posting. 99 siverado 6.0 ext cab.

My check engine oil level light came on. I stopped Immediately, was down 1.75quarts. Refilled and light wont go out. Is this a thing that the shop needs to reset, or is there more problems??? Oil pressure runs about 40 idle, 50 normal run, spike to 75-80 on load.

I know I am losing oil some where, I think through engine oil coooler. I will find the leak.

Problem solved, Sensor was dry to long when wet it started working, and went out.

Try disconnecting the battery for about 30 mins.
