What is the diffrence? gt vs regular

I have a 2003 grand am 3.4l v6 and a friend just got a 2004 gt version. I was just wondering how these cars were diffrent, I know he has dual exaust and sunroof and I dont, and we raced from a stop and a roll and he pulled pretty hard both times. Both cars are stock so im wondering what makes his that much faster then mine.

well minus small exterior differences and interior differences, the GT has RamAir while the regular v6 doesnt and the main thing that makes his faster is his tranny is different

Actualy thiers a few things different.
About 10-12hp, they get different mpg, the GT has larger sway bars and stiffer springs.

I'm pretty sure GT's were the only models that had a leather seat option, and various other little exterior details that were changed over the 99-05 production.
