Manual choke lever housing broken....now what?

My landlord moved my MK1 clio (1992) and when I got it back he'd (not told me but) the manual choke housing now is cracked. The slit for the lever is now extended upwards and the top of the plastic casing hangs out of the dash, unless I push the lot back in. So, the actual choke lever is not held firmly in place any more.

If I fiddle and bodge it back together it resembles a normal choke. I can move the lever to the top to "on". However pulling it down to "off" is the problem. Although the lever might be at the bottom, the only way to truly turn it off and make the dashboard warning light go out is to push the lever, broken casing and all INSIDE the gaping hole in the dash and fiddle around with it until the lever is as far down as it will go, then I have to "hook" the lever behind the cut-out where the choke should sit, just to hold the lever down and in place.

Hence even if I glued the plastic back together, I don't think the lever would be in the original position and it would permanently be "on".

To start the car again, I have to assemble the lot to look un-cracked again and push the lever to the top. Then the problem is turning it off...The cycle goes on... :runaround:

Can I buy a new choke "set" or is it not as simple as that? I don't know many people with a manual choke.
