Head work on my 87 Toy

I'm fixen on pulling the head off of my 87 Toy truck (22R carb). It looks like a crack on the #2 cylinder exhaust port. Anyway, are there other things that should be changed at the time the head comes off (this is the second time)?
It has about 200,000 miles on it. I do have a Toyota shop manual for this vehicle. Constructive comments welcome...
