Where is the starter located on the 2000?

Hi I'm new and I'm having trouble with my 2000 malibu. It's been making a wierd sound when cranking it and now it's having a hard time starting at all. My friend said he could replace the starter but he does not know where it is. Does anybody know where it is located?

Follow the the positive battery lead and it will lead you right to it.
