surging 82 320i

i have an 82 320i and it surges under acceleration, even a little at idle.:confused: also, when i let it drop down from 3000 rpm or more on its own, it will stall. :mad: if i slow it down slowly with throttle or transmission a little, it will almost stall, and then go back to idleing perfect. :( i honed the block and put in new rings, and completly rebuilt the head and everything, and now i can't get it to run smoothly like it did before....i'm becoming very desperate.........:smoker2: :smoker2:

Probably your oxygen sensor if you go down from 3k rpm and then it stalls. Happened to me also have an 82' 320i, sweet little car. Good Luck!

Mine was doing the same but it had a ruber hose broken, the one coming from the filter to the engine, you might want to check your vacum hoses while you try to figer it out.
