OK...I followed the Chilton's directions...
I removed all of the screws that I could find, but I can't get the door panel off!
My power door locks are not working properly...when I lock/unlock my doors, both the driver and passenger sides make this VERY obnoxious whirring sound, and the locks do NOTHING. Every once in a blue moon, they will work (without the whirring sound).
I want to pull the door panels off to see if I can see the problem, but I can't seem to get the things off, and I don't want to FORCE them and possibly break them.
Any suggestions? I even tried a rubber mallet from the underneath of the panel, but it didn't budge...

Check for hidden clips. There are several on the rear panel that I needed to use a screwdriver to get out. Might be the same for the door panels.

Did you get the screw on the bottom part of the door that's roughly in the middle (IIRC)? That screw is often hidden by the carpet on the door panel. FWIW, it's typically a phillips head (since you can't see it), unless it's been replaced.
Also, once you get all the screws, be sure to lift *UP*, as the intersection of the door panel with the upper back corner of the window is *VERY* delicate and prone to cracking if you torque it at all.
