Engine noise problem

Got a 95 w/ 130K on it. The problem is whenever i'm slowing down or stopped the engine makes this horrible sound...the rpm's are fine (500-1500) and its almost a 'grinding' sound.

I took it in and they mentioned i needed a new starter - picked up late last night and STILL doing the same thing.

Ideas / Suggestions?
