I have a 1997 honda civic and the past couple weeks it has been overheating really easy. The weird thing is i have to put water and radiator mixture in the water holding tank (not the radiator). Then there will be no signs of leaking, but my holding tank will be empty and i start to overheat. Oh and im driving less than 20miles each time. Can someone tell me what is going on? please

Also just double check the radiator especially the shrouds on top/bottom. Mine had a hairline crack you couldnt even see.

But that shouldnt cause white smoke to come out the exhaust

meh, i ran with a blown headgasket for about 6 months until i could get back home from school to fix it... just gotta watch your coolant level and make sure the crack in the headgasket isnt big enough to flood the cylinder with coolant
