trac and map problems

my water pump died. i replaced it and when i started up the car the trac off light came on. drove the car around for a bit then the check engine light came on. after it warmed up began shifting gears very hard and had alot of hesitation lightly accelerating. sometimes would die while accelerating and while slowing down. would start up no problem again but still ran like crap. with rough idle.I read the code it said 2 faults p0108 map high input twice. got a new map sensor same thing.
what i noticed is that it runs better when cool but not like it should. i cleaned the trottle body and put new intake gasket on. still nothing. what i did notice today sitting in the driveway was that as soon as the trac off came on (not the check engine soon light) i would try to read the code and it would say p0108 map high for the two codes. then the check engine would follow shortly their after. retest same code
I have tried to research this issue but no one has had the trac off with map issue. has anyone heard of something like this.:screwy: thanks
