i just wanted to know how someone would find out if your clutch was burned out or was burning during driving without having the tranny dropped and having the cluth looked at by hand. are there any other signs that would show me that my clutch is burning? thanx

If it smells like rotten eggs then your clutch is burning.

usually when you shift, your rev's don't drop as soon as you re engauge the clutch, and the rev's stays high. and under hard shifts, the shifting feels like an automatic. thats when you know your clutch is gone. and about the doin burnout but your burning your clutch! hey that happened to me once!! my car was packed with 5 people including me and i was maadd that day so i tried doin a burn out, then i realized that i'm not seeing any smoke and all i smelled was clutch. i was like fuck~~ the cars too heavy!! lolz. well luckily my clutch was not burnt to hell cuse i'm still beatin on it now and that was like 6 monhts ago.
