Greetings to all.
I've searched and read a ton of posts regarding the water through the blower motor onto the passenger floor. I haven't seen how the water gets into the blower in the first place. I pulled the carpet like panel and can see the water dripping out the bottom of the blower motor. Mine just started & I don't have any blower motor issues yet. The cabin filter is dry. The "L" shaped vent tube on the firewall is not clogged.
How do I prevent the water from getting into the blower?
Thank you very much for any help.

First thing I would do is tear that cowl apart again, like you were going to change the cabin filter, there is a piece of weatherstripping that should run across basically the bottom of the windshield, and channel water to one side or the other of the cabin filter. It sometimes falls off, or gets damaged, especially when removing the cowl area to check the cabin filter. So pull it off again and see what kind of shape its in. Its a very common leak point, Ive experienced personally.

Hi
I have had the same problem and it was the condensate drain line from the air conditioner which was clogged. From the plenum where the A/C evaporator is, there is a line that runs through the firewall to drain the condensate overboard - you probably notice that the familiar puddle under the car when parked after using the air conditioning is missing?
The line is a bit hard to find, but looking from the engine side it is on the firewall, right of center and low on the firewall. It is about 3/4" in diameter and may or may not have a rubber elbow to direct the water downward as it drains.
Try to snake that out a bit. I have a hand held vacuum pump with various attachments. I had one cone shaped attachment that fit snugly into the hole like a wine cork. I used it and the vacuum pump and was able to suck the blockage material out.
Good luck. I would bet this is your problem. When mine clogged, there was almost standing water on my passenger side during warm humid weather.

I have looked and looked for the ac drain hose on the firewall and can't find anything!---I have water on the floor and no puddle under the car--gotta be a plugged hose-----from the engine side, I see the low pressure port but cannot see the drain. thanks to anyone that can help
opps!---I just found it and it was clogged--had to get under to car to find it. Water came pouring out, all should be fine now.

I had a problem when I lived in Mississippi, the little varmits had built a nest in my plenum box, filled it right up with, of all things, pink insulation bits! I couldn't figure out why the water was soaking my pass floorboard after a rainstorm, until I took the cowl cover off and changed out the cabin filter, and then found about 2 pounds of the crap! It even got into the blower motor fan as well, I had to take the whole thing apart, but the upside is that there is no more water on the floorboard, now it just reeks like mildew from the carpet!
