EVAP Vent Valve

Can anyone tell me where on my 01 z71 the EVAP vent valv is located?

I've looked in my haynes repair manual and it shows a picture plain as day of it and it is "mounted on a bracket near the fuel tank". Well, I get under the pickup and I sure as crap can't find the thing.....I can see the EVAP cannister plain as day....is the vent valve in/behind or part of the cannister?:runaround:

So upon further inspection, I still cannot find where the vent valve is located. I'm pretty convinced it's above the fuel tank, somewhere completely out of my line of sight.

I would have thought it would be near the canister somewhere.
