Look what came in the mail....

So I finally decided to build the motor in the 420a. I didn't want to spend that much on forged internals but I found one hell of a deal on these pistons. Brand new still in the box JE pistons 8.5.1 compression, .20 over. I found them for $250 shipped on dsmtrader. These sell for $480 on ebay so I think I got a pretty good deal. I will try to have all of the rebuild parts by the summer and hopefully the new motor will be going in around mid summer. Here are some pics...

Looks like you have to bring that thing up here and swap it up here.

Are you getting a new block or using yours?

I think Im going to get another block with a crank so I can have the machine work done and most everything assembled so I wont have as much down time.

Back in September. But then I decided to stop the car using my front bumper and the back of a Caddy. Wanted it built during the winter and installed in spring. Looks like rebuild won't even start till spring at earliest. And I'm moving out in spring... so may not even happen at all unless I get a garage too.
