Oil filter sales by rank

My son is involved in a school project and he needs to find the most popular automotive oil filters, both by sales rank and type. Someone told him 14 different oil filters fit 80% of all cars and he wants to find this information for his project.

He's called the various suppliers but no luck. Can anyone here help with this?
