What're the chances that the 2002 HID units will fit into a 2000-1 Max with little or not modifications? Anyone else here interested in getting these units?

Courtesy parts is currently selling them for 1200 a pair.

On a side note, anyone here know the part number for the 2000-1 Max SE tail lamp assembly?

I want to get the new HID unit but it cost alot. I just install a set of piaa
bulbs. It's not as bright as the Hid but it's ok. :flash:

You still can get hooked up by fellow maxima.org members. Install involved cutting and splicing stock wires with HID housing wires.

Y2KevSE, is that your 2002 or 2001 Max. If it is a 2001 then you bought the new HID unit?

How much did you pay for that HID unit? I don't think I know how to install and how much time are we looking at for installation?:dogpile:

I believe it was something like $380 for the pair. For installation instructions, go to the 5th gen forum on http://forums.maxima.org and click on the How-To thread.

No more at that price, but Bob at Stanford Nissan has 20 sets (~$600 each pair).

Good deal!

The white clip with replace the stock white clip when you put the HIDs on.
