HELP How do I remove Airbags ...........

I am in deep I really need to know how to SAFELY remove both airbags in my wifes '95 Crown Vic Interceptor so I can replace the heater core. Any Ideas????:banghead: I have MS and we cannot afford to take it to a mechanic,:screwy: so its up to my rotted brain to fix this.

Disconnect battery, wait 5 minutes for airbags backup to drain. Why do you need to remove the airbags to replace a heater core?
