How to install fan motor on 99 intrigue

I got my girlfriends Intrigue and the fan motor will make that loud screech wine noise and then there is no air coming out. It usually does it after you have had the car running for about 25 mins. I want to know where it would be at and how hard it would be to replace the motor?
that is what my mechanic said it was. Just that it's strange if the motor is going that it still kicks out air and has not stopped. Please reply soon, its getting cold up here in MI and her car is decent for the winter. Thanks

I assume you mean the heater/AC fan for the interior? You will find it behind the glovebox. On my '99 GS, you come from the floor area up. Remove 3 plastic "stays" for the grey trim panel and pull it down. You will need to dis-engage the floor light from it. Then You will see the fan motor attached to the under side of the air duct work. It has 3 screws (maybe 4) that go vertically into the ducting. Remove those and the motor pulls down out of the duct. You will have to move some electrical wiring around to remove it. Then you can disconnect the fan electrical and the fan cooling duct (small rubber hose). Re-installation is same in reverse.
