Pep Girls...

:swear: That place TOTALLY sucks. :chair: They should rename it to Pep Girls - Rice Boys - or - Pep Half-Assers, because with what limited stock they carry and their limited knowledge you'd be better off going to a fucking grocery store to get stuff - Betty the friggin taste sample retiree would know more about a (american) god-damned car than most of the morons that work at Pep Girls. Fucking WAL-MART carries more useful shit than they do! :grinyes:
Angled water pump / intake hose - NO. :banghead:
45* or 60* water pump fittings - NO. :banghead:
3" exhasut pipe flaring tool - NO. :banghead:
3" exhaust pipe cutting tool - NO. :banghead:
Speedo cable for 70 Camaro to fit Autometer Speedo - NO. :banghead:
Torque lugnut extensions for impact wrench - NO. :banghead:
Bushings for door hinges - NO. :banghead:
Male to threaded male hose fitting (for AN carb inlet) - NO. :banghead:
Holley Street Avenger 770 - NO. :banghead:
Parking brake return spring - NO. :banghead:
Heater hose (larger diameter hose - 13/16ths?) - NO. :banghead:
Went in for about 22 things - left with 3. :disappoin
For as big a store and considering their "mission statement" they sure don't have a lot of shit. As far as I am concerned Pep Girls is great for anyone looking to do their own oil changes, but suck a scummy set of dog nuts for anything else.

I can't understand why you'd even go to a place like that to find those things. www.summitracing.com is all you need.
I put that same carb on my RS a few weeks ago.

I was gonna work on it that night... hah - shoulda known better than that.
I need a tool or two to finish... apparently harborfreight only sells these via internet - http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/displayitem.taf?Itemnumber=91292 - I'm too retarded to be able to cut the exhaust pipe straight, lol.
Yeah, I checked Summit and am making a new list. I think I like Jeg's a little better, but depending on what you need one has more than the other... Jeg'
s seems to be more racing oriented and Summit seems to be a tad more show oriented (IMHO).
I'm guessing I won't get to fire it up for another week or two - too busy at work and no time to do anything.
Dylan... you were right... 2-3 years is looking like how long this is actually gonna take. I hate it when I'm wrong... unfortunately that's been happening alot lately.

Oh yeah - Geno, how'd it go on? Any adjustments? Any problems?
Almost got someone to let one go for about $150... off a totalled 77. Changed his mind at the last minute. I seem to have NO luck in that area.

Jim, I don't know yet, I haven't gotten around to starting it yet. I have one more wire to run to the coil and am too lazy to do so. If it were spring time I'd probably be more on top of things, but since I drove it most of the summer I'm in no hurry, especially now that the weather is changing. This off season will see all the body work to restore it back to showroom condition, and perhaps a T56 swap if I can find one for a good price.

T56 swap???? NICE! I've heard it's a monster on early 2gens (figures) and D&D Performance has a complete kit for like $3200 (really figures) so it looks like I'll never do it, but if you find one on the cheaps and it works out ok, lemme know, if it ain't all that bad I'll try it. I'm tired of doing 55 (when it runs).
ON A HAPPY NOTE - I just some dumbass rag in the mail from some stupid hotrod streetrod club I joined a few years back. After all this time they finally had an article that I needed. How to metal form... guy made his own air cleaner... and answered all the "How-do-I's" that I have. WOOT!
Hello new air cleaner and maybe valve covers... and definitely door panels... and center console, and new dash... NOW I just gotta get some aluminum and about 2 months worth of time to myself..... ANYBODY WANT 3 KIDS FOR A FEW MONTHS?
Was thinking maybe I could scan the article and post it up? Any mod's see any issues with that (copyright infringement, etc?)?

Tell you what, I'll take em after you hold on to mine for 8 years, I mean, months
And I can see some copyright laws probably stemming from that.
