I have 2 problems actually with my car currently.
1) My car is currently displaying problems accellerating. It will sometimes have sluggish accelleration from a full stop, and more often when I am trying to get up to highway speeds, the RPM will keep going up over 3-4k, but the gears will not shift and will stay at 30-40 moh. I have to let off the gas a few times and eventually it will kick in. I thought it might be the spark plugs or wires, but I am thinking otherwise now. This is an automatic transmission.
2) My second problem is the digital gear & mileage display in the gauge cluster. At the beginning of the year, around Arpil or so, I noticed it looked like it was off once in the middle of the day. I didn't think anything of it because when I got off work that night, I could see it. but now it is barely visible even at night and totally unable to be seen in the day. Does the entire cluster have to be replaced, or can just the digital display be replaced?

Welcome to AF.
1) Based on your symptoms it sounds more like a bad CAT convertor. See the advisory posted at our Buick Tips & Maintenance forum:

2) Common problem internal to the IP Cluster. You can send the IP out for repair or get a used or new replacement. In either case you will need the odometer module programmed with your current actual mileage if you go with a used pull or new one.
