1g head 2g block wont start no oil flow

ok well iv been working on a head swap for 2 weeks now:banghead: it just dont want to start there is no oil flow is it the pump or worse?:uhoh: did the machine shop leave metal shaving how can i tell what it is
you know were the oil filter connects to the block
there is no oil shooting out some help please

answer: must have been a bad oil pump... we changed out the oil pump gears, made a new- better gasket, torqued it to spec, and primed it... then it worked but still wouldn't start. I strongly believe the problem is that we are using 2g cam caps on 1g head so its not a right fit, i currently have the head at the machine shop once again, this time - for a line bore on the caps.

Swapping cam caps = big no-no.

well we got it goin'. we had to fix the gear in the oil pump and line hone the cam caps.
thats the past though. since then we did a 2.3 stroker rebuild with 100mm forged eagle crank, wiseco pistons and eagle h-beam rods, acl race bearing. We also built the 1G head. Did the 3 degree valve angle job added some Ferrea competion series valves, some double springs, upgraded lashes. lots of other goodies!!!!! all around!!!:evillol:
