Confirmed New Crx

im posting from my ps3 so bear with me. Im not sure what year but a new honda 2dr hatch is coming soon, its called the crz and it looks like a 21st century crx. i saw a video of it at the Tokyo Auto Show while playing a demo of Gran Turismo 5.

Someone google it and post a pic.

If I still had my mag collection, some kid drew a concept of "the new CRX" in a import mag about 3 years ago... guess what it just about looked like?

yeah, i dont really like it.. the traditional older honda body lines are low and lean.. this thing looks like a 8" work boot compared to the CRX.

Lets look at a "first noticed" list..

1> the drawings look alot cooler than the actual car.

2> Stock version when released won't include the following:

2a> Rims
2b> mirrors
3c> some parts of that dash/gauge pod
4d> I'm sure there are things that I missed.

3> Front end is F-1 inspired, w/ the open canards on the sides of the HUGE grille..

4> They should have called it the CR-Y for three reasons:
4a> It makes me want to C-R-Y
4b> that would logically be the next letter from X.
4c> Isn't Y the female chromosome? if not, it should be.. b/c this things looks like it should have
chesticles.

5> I like the seats.. they're pretty sweet, and hence, won't (most likely) come w/ the car.

6> Nice glass roof, leading into glass hatch, leading into.. ?!what?! a giant panel of steel before the next
piece of glass?! wtf.

7> I like the integrated rear view... which will certainly end up being visibly screwed/glued into something...
but it will still look cool.

In closing, chop/screw a REAL CRX, and you're still gonna rate higher in my book than this... thing.

you know you would buy it if it came out.

It looks like crappy IMO. I agree with Dropzone. If people want a ghey version of a crx just go get a Mercedes C230 hatch with a glass panel roof, autotragic tansmission and 1.9 supercharged engine. I mean, if you want to spend that kind of cash on a newer crx look-alike then there you go. After all, most of us that have owned crx's had to wait 10 years after they finished making them to own one...

i just wish that the rear end looked more nsx/crx'ish lol i dont like the civic tails but the headlights arent bad

Dont get me wrong, I would take a brand new 91 crx SI over that thing any day. But if I had to get a new car I look around and dont see too many good prospects. If they still made the rsx id take that, if I wanted used the integra would be GREAT. But depending on which powerplant could possibly be in the crx Id take it over a civic, maybe even the SI which I have driven in and like alot. And depending on the price It might be better to go with a mazdaspeed3 (if you can get one) or later next year the new cobalt ss/turbocharged (no more supercharger). But I love honda so fuck em.

the ss cobalt model line was dropped for 08, where did you read its getting a turbo, of all things?

but that civic hatch looks pretty sweet, ill give my 07 sedan to the wife and get the hatch.

I know it was dropped. But announced at SEMA is the turbocharged 08 cobalt SS...

What the hell is a Nitro SS? Is that a Dodgelet or something? :lol: Do you mean the HHR SS or something. I know Dodge makes the Nitro R/T with it's big 20" chromie ghetto cruisers...

Back when I worked @ sears, I almost bought a Cobalt SS... then I decided to cheap out and get my honda. I'll never go back... unless I can get another '88-ish Cavvy RS 4dr model... b/c I have a Z24 donor car ready to be stripped :D
