Versa Trak Prob

I got a 2003 venrure with a light on the dash AWD DISABLED. Any opinoins on how to diagnose this problem, before I spend good money on having a dealership charge me a rediculous amount of money for plugging a computer in to read codes. :banghead:

I would like to also add that I have tried disconnecting the battery for appx 10 secs to see if it was just a fluke but did not cure problem. I have also checked the fluid level in the rear drive unit it is ok. I have not checked the level in the transfer case as of yet. Also the ABS light is not on, so I think that would toss out the idea of a wheel bearing going out knoking the wheel sped sensor out of it`s zero tolerance level. Or does the AWD work off of an individual wheel speed sensor?? Please anyone with any opinions or diagnosis PLEASE TELL ME!!!!! Help me get my wife off of my back from telling me about that annoying yellow cube that does not dim at night !!! :grinyes:
