I recently changed my 05 silverado rear brakes from drum to disk.
Now the new brakes are stuck on. Is there a pressure sensor that needs changing to release the calipers ? checked emergency brake they are not engaged.

Did you bleed the system after reinstalling? You may have air in the lines.

Air in the lines would keep the pistons from compressing not opening.

Calipers seized on for whatever reason, either faulty part or installation. Air in the brake systme makes for a spongy brake pedal which will go to the floor.. To properly bleed the system, you need a GM scan tool to cycle the abs.

Problem solved. It was 2 brand new faulty calipers.
Thanks for your input.

Can you tell a difference between the drum and rotor rear brakes? I mean when you are braking that is.
